NDCDE ensures that each course meets state requirements for high school credit by carefully evaluating the time needed for students to complete the curriculum. Each course is equivalent to one semester and grants half a credit. The amount of time students spend on coursework may vary, but our approach ensures that all courses meet North Dakota’s instructional time standards.
