This summer, we are launching our first course, CIS 147: Principles of Information Security. The course will be taught online by NDCDE teacher Shannay Witte, and through a federal grant, this course will be offered for free to the first 30 high school students who register for it. In addition to tuition, NDCDE will cover the BSC application fee and the cost of the electronic textbook. This course partially fulfills new high school cybersecurity and computer science graduation requirements, qualifies as a North Dakota University System general education requirement, and is part of course requirements for multiple BSC certificate and degree programs in cybersecurity. The course begins June 3, 2024, and runs through July 28, 2024. It will be offered in NDCDE’s self-paced, asynchronous format. For more information, visit our Bismarck State College Dual Credit page.
